name; Ezekiel Joseph Crawford
age; 20
dob; 07.28
zodiac; Leo
alignment; EU, registered mutant

history; Zeke was born in London, England. His powers manifested when he was still incredibly young, and he was taken from his family before he actually had any memories of them. He was always told that they had willingly given him up, that his family hadn't known what to do with him, and he'd accepted that, because while there were some fucked up things going on behind EU HQ's walls, he was taken care of by a group of other mutants who were kind to him.

Growing up in the military wasn't easy. They pushed him and his abilities, a lot. Still he generally was okay with whatever they put him through, because these people were his family, they wouldn't do anything they thought would really harm him.

That was what he believed. Until his eye was "accidentally" removed during a training session. He later discovered that they had actually been curious to see if wounds inflicted on the body when he was in animal form, if serious enough (because small scrapes and shallow cuts seemed to mend when he shifted back to his natural shape) would still heal. His eye was picked as something he would be able to manage without, because cutting off a limb would likely cripple his abilities if the damage didn't reverse itself.

He never would've learned this, if the woman who cared for him his whole life, and was for all intents and purposes his mother, had told him, while attempting to get him to run away. He decided he wouldn't run, but he also made it clear he didn't want to be a part of the military efforts any longer, claiming that his eyesight wasn't as accurate when he was an animal, and it was too difficult to see with the altered perception. Truth was it didn't bother him nearly as much as he said it did, but what're you going to do.

He was reassigned to a recruitment position, and he moved back to London to open a smoothie bar. He tracked down his birth parents, and found out that they had never agreed for him to be given up to the EU, and they were grateful to see their son again. He's got two little sisters, and an older brother, and he visits them all often, trying to make up for the seventeen years lost.

He also still does his work for the EU, recruiting, although he's careful to make sure whoever he recruits knows exactly what they're getting into, and, in a bit of an underhanded manner considering the EU was still supplying some of his pay, he works on getting people who need to get out of the EU, out. He doesn't tell people when they go in that he's doing it, because if they become a loyal rat or something, he'd be in a world of hurt, but he's gotten good at seeking the people who are trapped out, and giving them a means to escape. One of the first people he helped get out of the EU completely was Ellen, the woman who raised him. She now lives in America, and has met a man with whom she is very happy. He gets letters monthly.
